N.B: If you click on one of the images, it
will pop up in a larger zoomed in display
for you.
The Fix all caps wizard provides you with
"all caps" errors for the course and
suggests
changes to sections of text which are
deemed to have too much capitalisation to
be readable to help fix them quickly.
These capitalisation
errors are listed with a “Submit Bulk
Fixing” button, which will then update
all
the all caps text errors on that
current
page to the suggested text.
All fixes
applied through this wizard can be
reverted with the Bulk fix log. All errors
hidden through this wizard are located in Exception
Management.
Viewing the Fix all caps wizard
The Fix all caps wizard
can be accessed via:
- Course actions menu > Brickfield
Accessibility+ toolkit > Go to
wizards > Fix all caps
- Accessibility+ Review block > View
Accessibility+ report (Chart icon)
> Go to
wizards > Fix all caps
- The
"Fix" link that's
available for the "All caps, or
capitalization, should
not be used excessively" check in the Check
list report.
The Fix all caps wizard displays the
following details for each
error:
- Name: the activity type and name.
- Course: the courses shortname in
which
the error resides.
- Existing HTML code: the full HTML
code.
- Update to: the full HTML code if
the
fix is applied, this will set the
capitalised letters to lower case,
except for the first letter.
- Hide: checkbox to hide the error when
processed
Impact
Do ensure capitalization is
minimised as this makes text harder to
read.
Only use where appropriate (eg
acronyms,
logos).
